VOLUNTEER!
Volunteer to help with a PTO event! Monte Vista PTO organizes many events and fundraisers throughout the school year to support the classrooms. We are always on the lookout for parent volunteers to join us in organizing and running these events.
Please fill out the Volunteer Survey Form below if you are interested in volunteering.
You can also email our Volunteer Coordinator at mvebluejaysvolunteers@gmail.com
ROOM HELPER
We are looking for family members or guardians who want to lend a hand by volunteering as a Room Helper.
What does a Room Helper do?
Ideally, every teacher will have at least one Room Helper who assists to bridge the gap between the teacher and the families (some classes can have more than one!) Room Helpers do not need to physically be in the classroom as many of the tasks and communications can be done via computer.
Examples of what a Room Helper may do:
- Send out reminders to families for classroom events
- Help plan parties and gifts for a classroom
- Help recruit classroom volunteers for school events
- Inform families of any classroom supplies needed
Room Helpers work directly with the teacher to make the class stronger and more cohesive by keeping families informed so that everyone can enjoy the school year! You can even be a Room Helper in multiple classes if you’d like.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the "Volunteer Survey Form" below. You will be contacted by the PTO Room Helper Coordinator and will receive a packet that includes resources and information to help you. The Room Helper Coordinator will be available to answer questions and offer support throughout the school year.
Thank You!
